Jenna Lilla limns the way of soul in the work of Carl Jung
The mother image “can be attached to … various vessels.” (Carl Jung, 9i, para. 157)
Notice the ouroboros painted on the vessel. The ouroborus takes the form of a dragon in this alchemical drawing. The dragon is another archetypal image of the divine mother. The divine mother is both the ‘mother of all beings’ and fierce dragon whom we must battle. She both is vessel and dissolver. She is the mother of paradox.
